CONTENTS
1 st PART. Introduction to Marcel.lí's work. In the eighties:
LA FURA DELS BAUS - founding member of the collective and coordinator
of their most acclaimed performances Accions 1984, Suz/o/Suz
1985 and Tier Mon 1988; Los Rinos Collective, Gegant...in the
nineties up until the current mechatronic performances of EPIZOO
1994, AFASIA 1998, POL 2002, and TRANSPERMIA 2004. And also visual
pieces such as Joan L'home de Carn 1992, the exhibitions La
vida sin amor no tiene sentido (Life without love has no
meaning) 1993 and Epifanía 1999, and
the installations Human Machine 2001, Metzina 2004
and Tantal 2004.
As well as presenting the artistic aspects
of his work, this part also covers some conceptual and methodological
aspects.

nd PART Introduction to the technical aspects of SYSTEMATURGY.
Introduction to the Systematurgy methodology, exploring the conceptual
basis and POL software. Pol is a programme developed by Marcel.li´s
studio for real-time processing of 2D and 3D images, illumination
and robots using different sensors, including the Dreskeletons .
The programme is organized in three different yet compatible
phases: Pol Setup, Pol Control and Pol Movie Player.
POL Setup
determines the variables of sensor behaviour with the variables
of the Flash environment, 3D Virtools environment, and other
MIDI environments (music, illumination, etc.) as well as the
robots. The function of POL Setup is to write the interaction
of the piece.
POL Control processes the sensors in real time and
controls different variables of the database using the MIDI environment
and POL Movie Player.
Pol Movie Player executes 2D and 3D graphics
within a network of up to 12 computers.
